Event Espresso
Create an event in Event Espresso, and it will automatically be shown in a grid-based layout through the Events Grid View Template add-on. An attendee can then hover over an event to get more details. You can try it out on your own demo site by adding this shortcode to a WordPress page and publishing it: [ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE]
The Events Grid View Template add-on is included with the Everything license or can be purchased separately.
